Eczema: sometimes referred to as atopic dermatitis, is defined by The National Eczema Association as an inflammatory skin condition that causes itchiness, dry skin, rashes, scaly patches, blisters and skin infections. Over 23% of the world population is affected by eczema and there are many different types. Symptoms can vary from adolescent to adulthood, and these symptoms can be mild or severe. This skin condition affects everyone differently but all variations of eczema have a common symptom of dry, itchy skin.

Acne: is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become clogged  with oil and dead skin cells. It causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples. Acne is most common among teenagers, though it affects people of all ages.

Many factors can trigger acne flare ups such as stress, changes in diet, & medications.  Depending on how severe the acne flare ups, skin scarring is possible, and can cause insecurities of the skin. Medications and topical treatments are available for acne and may help clear blemishes.

Dry Skin: Dry skin is skin that has been robbed of its natural moisture. The Mayo Clinic Staff discusses that dry skin, also known as xerosis or xeroderma, has many causes, including cold or dry weather, sun damage, harsh soaps, and overbathing. Dry skin can be seasonal depending on the weather or severe in which case it would be considered dermatitis. There are many different types of dermatitis, but all variations of dry skin can affect an individual's quality of life.

Hyperpigmentation: is when an area of skin appears darkened or discolored in comparison to the rest of the body. There are several types of hyperpigmentation, the common ones being melasma, sunspots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation can be treated by topical creams and natural ingredients.

Oily Skin:  is an effect of excess sebum production by the sebaceous glands. Sebum is vital for keeping the skin healthy. However, too much sebum can lead to oily skin, clogged pores, and acne. Managing oily skin often requires a person making regular skin care a habit. Washing regularly and using a toner can help prevent oily skin, but there is no singular cause for oily skin.

Psoriasis: is a skin disease that causes a rash with itchy, scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp. Psoriasis is a common, long-term (chronic) disease with no cure. It can be painful, interfere with sleep and make it hard to concentrate. The condition tends to go through cycles, flaring for a few weeks or months, then subsiding for a while. Common triggers in people with a genetic predisposition to psoriasis include infections, cuts or burns, and certain medications.

Sensitive Skin: can be characterized as a symptom of something else, like irritants, dry skin, or medical conditions. When you have sensitive skin, it can feel like everything is irritating. But with a few lifestyle changes, you may see significant improvement. Using mild and hydrating cleansers, moisturizers, and other cosmetic products can assist in managing sensitive skin by decreasing the chance of irritation while simultaneously treating and nourishing the skin.
